Chino CA sophomore Mia Chavez won the girls 3-mile small school varsity race in 17:22.7 at the Cool Breeze Invitational at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena, Calif. Chavez improved from clocking 18:54.6 and placing 16th in the varsity race at last year's meet to produce the sixth-fastest time overall from all girls races combined.
